NOGA joins Dutch Advertising body SRC
The Hague, 30 March 2022 – NOGA was approved and admitted as a new participant in the silo ‘Advertisers’ by the board of the Stichting Reclame Code (Self-regulatory organisation of advertising in The Netherlands) on 28 March.
The Stichting Reclame Code (SRC) deals with the self-regulation system of advertising in The Netherlands. Self-regulation means that the advertising industry (advertisers, advertising agencies and the media) formulates the rules with which advertising must comply.
NOGA is delighted with the admission and is determined to work with the SRC and all other participants towards an even more effective self-regulation of advertising in the Netherlands. In the gambling industry the protection of consumers is paramount and (restrained) advertising plays an important role in the channelisation – leading consumers who want to gamble online, away from the illegal to the safe and licensed offer.
Peter-Paul de Goeij, director of NOGA: ‘It is great news that NOGA from now on may contribute to the strengthening of the self-regulatory structure of the SRC. We look forward to working together with the other participants in the column Advertisers but also beyond and are determined to make a significant contribution to the good work of the SRC.‘
